Arrival at Harare and Transfer House
I (or one of our drivers) will meet you at the airport in Harare and drive you to the house we will all be staying at.
We will stay in the neighbourhood of Borrowdale, where I grew up and where my family also live.
Please confirm your arrival time with Josh in advance.
Day 1 - HARARE
Welcome Drinks and relax in the garden.
As everyone will arrive at different times, there is no itinerary for this day..
Enjoy the pool, relax, unwind and have a drink while getting to know the group.
We will have a very Zimbabwean dinner at the house, from my favourite Pizza place, called Pizza Inn
Dinner and welcome drinks are included.
Day 2 - HARARE (nature, and friends dinner)
A light breakfast will be served at home (included)
At 9:30 we depart for Ngomokurira to see the rural areas of Harare and enjoy a hike up rocks. The hike is medium level and takes about 2 hours. We should be home by 17:00 for a shower and relax.
At 19:00 we will go to the Beach House for dinner with many of my friends, aunties, uncles, cousins, and people from my life.. You will get to meet many of the people who influenced my life over the years.
Snacks / a light lunch during the hike is included, but dinner at the Beach House is not included. Each person will pay their own bill.
Day 3 - HARARE (wildlife, markets, picnic and roses)
A light breakfast will be served at home (included)
At 9:30 we will depart for Mukuvisi Woodlands, and urban wildlife sanctuary where we will see giraffee, eland, zebra and enjoy the flowers and trees that are typical to this part of Zimbabwe.
Then, we will drive through the Mbare neighbourhood. We will not stop here to shop, but it is an eye-opening experience to see how the city's economy truly functions for everyday people.
We will then stop at Picabella Rose gardens (owned and managed by my sister, Juanita) for a picnic, and many Instagram moments among a hundred thousand rose blossoms. Make sure your camera is charged!
Dinner location is TBD. Maybe a braai (bbq) at home?
Entrance to Mukuvisi Woodlands and the picnic at Picabella Roses is included.
Dinner is NOT included.
Day 4 - Fly to Victoria Falls
A light breakfast will be served at home (included) at 5:45 am
We will leave the house at 6:30 AM
as the flight departs from Harare at 8:50 AM
The flight duration is 50 minutes.
A transfer to the airpost is included.
THE FLIGHT IS NOT INCLUDED!
YOU NEED TO BOOK YOUR OWN ONE-WAY FLIGHT FROM HARARE (HRE) TO VICTORIA FALLS (VFA) ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH,
AND IT MUST BE ON FASTJET
Day 4 - VIC FALLS (markets, brewery, the town and BOMA)
Arrival at VFA at 10:00 AM
A transfer from the airport to the house is included. The drive is approximately 25 kilometres.
We will be staying at Gibson House
We will go for lunch at a famous brewery, The Zambezi River Brewing Company.
Then, I will guide you through a calm market and a crazy market! Here you can buy various curios and souvenirs handmade by local artists.
We will return home by 17:00 and at 18:30 we will go for dinner and a drum show at the famous BOMA restaurant!
All transfers and dinner are included. Lunch/drinks at the Brewery are NOT included.
Day 5 - VIC FALLS (the waterfall)
A light breakfast will be served at home (included)
9:00 depart to see Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world!
The waterfalls take about 3-4 hours to explore. The afternoon is open, with no formal plans.
Lunch will be in the town, at one of the many restaurants. We will decide together at the time.
Dinner will be at 18:30 at the Lookout Cafe
Transfers to and from the Waterfalls and entry to the waterfalls are included.
Lunch and dinner are not included.
Day 6 - VIC FALLS (adrenaline and/or relaxation)
A light breakfast will be served at home (included)
This day is up to you! You can relax at home, explore the town some more, or do one (or more) of the many wonderful activities that Victoria Falls has on offer.
These are NOT INCLUDED and must be booked IN ADVANCE. Please speak to Josh if you would like to participate in any activity, he can get you a discount ;)
1. White water rafting (the biggest rapids in the entire world)
2. Bungee jump
3. River cruises
Lunch, dinner and activities are NOT included in this day.
We have a driver (Kenny) who will be on call to take us anywhere we would need to go.
Day 7 - Transfer to Matetsi 6
A light breakfast will be served at home (included)
11:00 Depart for Matetsi 6
The drive is 80 kilometers and the transfer is included.
Day 7 - Arrival at Matetsi 6
12:15 Arrival at the lodge
13:30 Lunch and welcome
Afternoon at the pool
19:00 Dinner
Matetsi 6 is all included, except alcoholic drinks at the lodge are on a cash basis.
Day 11 - Departure
Breakfast
A transfer from Matetsi 6 to VFA International Airport is included in your tour package.
Please confirm your departure time with Josh in advance.
Cash, Money, and Tipping
It is almost imposisble to get cash in Zimbabwe, we do not have ATMs, and international card machines do not work most of the time.
You need to ARRIVE IN ZIMBABWE WITH ENOUGH CASH FOR YOUR ENTIRE TRIP.
Zimbabwe uses the United States Dollar (USD) $
It is recommended to bring at least $800 in cash for the entire trip. This will cover the meals that are not included, tips for the staff, and a few souvenirs.
If you plan on doing any adventure activities in Victoria Falls, add that amount to the cash that you will bring, unless you book and pay online in advance.
TIPPING is a big part of Zimbabwean culture. A 10% tip is expected at most places - hotels, houses, restaurants etc.
Please bring USD in cash for the tips, these will be collected on the last day at each location and paid directly to the staff.
Below is a breakdown of the expected tips per location. This is based on the number of staff we will have. In Harare, we will have a cleaner. In Victoria Falls, we will have a cleaner and a cook. In Matetsi 6, we will have a butler, a chef, a cleaner, a waiter, a tracker/guide, a national parks ranger, and a barman.
Harare house - $10 per person
Victoria Falls House $40 per person
Matetsi 6 - $200 per person
Additionally, at restaurants and bars, you should budget to pay a 10% tip, or more if you felt the service was exceptional.

Do I need a Visa or Vaccinations to enter Zimbabwe?
VISAS
Most passports do not require a visa in advance, however, you are required to purchase a visa upon arrival. Depending on your nationality, the price ranges from $35-70 USD.
Please check here according to your nationality and apply for a visa as necessary.
VACCINATIONS
No vaccinations are required for entry to Zimbabwe.
However, we have a very strong presence of Malaria. It is very strongly recommended to take malaria prophylaxis. Talk to your doctor about getting them in your home country, as they are most effective when taken 1 or 2 weeks BEFORE you arrive in Zimbabwe.
If needed, they can be available for you upon arrival in Zimbabwe. Please talk to Josh if you need.

Deposits, Payments and Refunds
A minimum 50% deposit is required to secure your spot on the trip.
The group will be a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 8 people. If fewer than 6 people sign up, the trip will be cancelled and your deposit will be refunded (this is the ONLY reason deposits will be refunded).
THE DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE.
Once you pay your deposit, it will be distributed to all the hotels, drivers, vendors etc, so if you are no longer able to join the trip, the deposit CANNOT BE REFUNDED.
The remaining 50% is due on or before October 1st 2025.
It is refundable until the 1st of November. After that date, the total amount cannot be refunded for any reason.
