Self-Drive Game Drive (with Park Ranger)
For independent explorers, our self-guided game drive allows you to experience the vast wilderness of Matetsi 6 in your own vehicle—while ensuring safety and support with a mandatory National Parks ranger who accompanies you throughout the journey.
Upon check-in at reception, you’ll be introduced to your assigned ranger, who is equipped with a communication device for emergencies. This is essential, as much of our 700 km² reserve has limited or no mobile phone reception.
Important Requirements:
Rates are Per Person.
A 4x4 vehicle is required
Guests must stay on designated roads, clearly marked on the map provided at check-in
The ranger will assist with navigation and ensure responsible driving throughout the experience
Optional Add-ons:
Cooler Box Package: Add a cooler stocked with snacks and local drinks for your drive.
Schedule & Duration:
Available from sunrise to sunset.
Drive duration is flexible and can range from 2 to 10 hours, depending on the season and your preference
Drives must be completed before sunset
