Star Gazing

From April to October, the clear dry-season skies above Matetsi 6 create ideal conditions for star gazing. Far from city lights, our remote location offers beautifully dark skies where the Milky Way stretches overhead and shooting stars regularly streak across the horizon.

On clear, calm nights, we’ll set up loungers on the lawn, complete with pillows and blankets for your comfort. You’re welcome to order drinks and settle in for a quiet evening under the stars. For those visiting in the warmer months, the pool will remain open—you’re free to float while gazing up at the night sky.

This is a complimentary experience for all guests and is entirely weather dependent—clear skies and dry conditions are essential. The activity can be requested in person at the lodge, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it when conditions allow.
