Waterhole Tour with Bush Walks
Waterhole Tour with Bush Walks
For those with an adventurous spirit, the Waterhole Tour at Matetsi 6 offers a thrilling and immersive day in the wild. Spanning 6–8 hours, this guided experience combines game driving and short bush walks to visit our five remote boreholes—essential lifelines for wildlife across the reserve.
We’ll travel quickly between locations in true bush style, navigating sand tracks and rocky roads. It’s not a leisurely cruise—you’ll need to hold on, duck for branches, and embrace the bumps. But the reward is vast: you’ll cover a wide expanse of land, witness ever-changing landscapes, and gain a deep appreciation for the terrain and its wildlife.
Midway through the day, we stop for a fire-cooked bush lunch beneath a tree, with animals often passing in the distance. Drinks and snacks (fruit, chips, cookies) are also included.
The tour is limited to 4 guests and must be accompanied by a National Parks ranger at all times. Guests may join in their own 4x4, or ride in our open-back safari truck—just don’t forget a hat and sunscreen.
Note: This tour is weather dependent and best suited to those seeking an active, off-road experience led by a professional guide who ensures both safety and enjoyment.
