Accommodation at Matetsi 6 is in private tented chalets built along the Zambezi River. Each room has a four-poster bed, a private deck, a mini fridge, and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding clawfoot bath and double vanity. The bush starts where the deck ends.
We have 7 rooms in total across the lodge.
They are not named, just numbered, and they are not all equal.
Garden Rooms (2 rooms)
Two rooms sit set back from the river, surrounded by trees and bush. Same four-poster beds, and amenities. The view is garden rather than water.
These two rooms are assigned last, once the river rooms are full.
River Rooms (5 rooms)
Five rooms sit directly on the Zambezi. Four have twin beds, one has a double. Every river room has a private deck facing the water, floor-to-ceiling canvas panels that open to the river view, a freestanding clawfoot bath, double vanity, air conditioning, and a minibar.
These rooms go to whoever books first. They cost the same as the others.
One price. First come, first served.
All rooms are included in the same €2,500 / €3,000 safari price. There is no upgrade fee for a river room. The only advantage is booking early.
